The award categories reflecting public sector serivce delivery environments within all levels of government: Municipal, Provincial and Federal groupings are:

This award recognizes outstanding achievements in developing and implementing innovative projects to improve client-facing (external) service delivery, with a specific focus on citizens or businesses as clients of government.
This award recognizes outstanding achievements in internal business transformation to deliver greater efficiencies in the business of government.
This award recognizes outstanding achievements in maximizing the efficiency of existing/ongoing IM/IT operations, improving the quality of decision-making and governance, using existing infrastructure in new ways and/or introducing better standards and procedures.
This award recognizes outstanding achievements in collaboration among two or more departments, government organizations, private organizations and/or other levels of government in Canada demonstrating the sharing of knowledge and resources, the building of consensus in the delivery of integrated government services to citizens or businesses, and, where applicable, the use of applications, social media or other tools to facilitate these partnerships.
This award recognizes outstanding achievements in harnessing the talent of human resources in the application and/or use of technology to enhance the business of government, such as organizational change strategies, learning programs and skills training initiatives.
This award is an affirmation that one person really can make a difference, even within a large organization or project. This award recognizes leadership at all levels and focuses on public service professionals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and who have made a significant difference within an IM/IT focused organization and/or project. As leaders in government, nominees will have inspired and mobilized the energies and talents of others in the pursuit of service excellence.
