We are delighted to welcome you and we hope you enjoy and benefit from your participation in the conference program during GTEC 2016. The conference will take place November 1-3, 2016 at:

As a speaker at GTEC, you will receive a complimentary Wed-Thu Conference pass and we will take care of your registration. This will allow you access to the Exhibition Show Floor and all Conference Sessions from Wednesday, November 2 to Thursday, November 3. If you will be accompanied by technical support staff, you may request up to 1 single-session pass so they may assist and attend your session.
When you first arrive at GTEC please report to the Registration area, located on Level 2 in the Atrium.

- Email your speaker biography, photo & onsite cell phone number to Madeleina Halley
- Make your hotel reservation
- Promote your presence

Participate in a bit of friendly competition among GTEC 2016 speakers. The speaker to post the most tweets using @GTEC or #GTEC will receive a prize and recognition on the GTEC Twitter page! Our Social Media Team will track your progress and announce the winner onsite. *Please note: To be considered, speakers must tweet at least five times and contribute one blog for the GTEC website.
GTEC Speaker Handbook
New to the GTEC Speaker Resource Centre is the GTEC Speaker Handbook! Today’s audience is looking for alternatives to the same old ‘stand and deliver’ session – they want to be engaged, and blown away by your thought leadership! Please take some time to review this detailed handbook outlining best practices for GTEC speakers.

Public Relations Tools for Speakers: Press Release Guidelines
GTEC offers an amazing audience to target for an announcement about your participation. No other business technology event brings the same impressive and accessible blend of media, exhibitors and attendees together. We encourage you to write and distribute news about your participation at GTEC and have put together the following press release guidelines.
- The date and location of the event should be included in the first paragraph: GTEC Ottawa, happening November 1-3 at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
- Event boilerplate should be included in the press release:
GTEC attracts over 4,000 participants and is the primary forum where government and industry gather to exchange ideas and advance the business of ICT. This knowledge and professional development conference features thought-provoking main stage speakers, seminars, panels, workshops and round-table discussions on a comprehensive selection of ICT topics presented by leading public sector and industry experts. The Exhibition showcases the most relevant ICT software, platforms and services helping to drive the public sector forward.
The event also features the annual Distinction Awards, the premier accolades for peer-recognition celebrating ICT public sector accomplishments across municipal, provincial and federal jurisdictions.

**Complimentary Registration for the Wed-Thu Conference Program
We welcome you, as a speaker, to attend the event, including all conference sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, demonstrations and exhibits, as well as all meals and social functions. You will be exempt from any conference registration fee.
Access to Speaker Lounge
The Speakers Lounge is a place for you to relax, prepare for your session or have small meetings. You will have access to the Speakers Lounge during the conference located in Room located on Level 2 (Show Office 2B) in the Shaw Centre and will be open for the following hours:
